KvinnSamSem September 17: Representation, activism and the archives

Camila Borges Freitas, doctoral candidate in Library and Information Science at Lund University and Maya Acharya, researcher at the ETHOS Lab, IT-University in Copenhagen will present their research on representation, activism and the archives. This seminar will be held in English.

Camila’s doctoral research focuses on the interplay between archival work, activism and memory-making in LGBTQ+ community-based archives. Her research aims at providing a deeper understanding of community-based archives as sites and agents of resistance and of their role in (re)shaping memory and struggles of LGBTQ+ communities.
