Margrethe Einarsen, who holds a master’s degree in gender studies, presents her new book "Våkne kvinner" about Kirsten Hansteen, a feminist, communist, anti-fascist, peace activist and Norway’s first female minister.

The biography tells the story of Kirsten Hansteen, Norway’s first female minister, and her life from the culturally radical circles of the interwar period, through her resistance work during the Second World War, to her social activism in the post-war era.
