KvinnSamSem for the fall

Published

Our seminar series KvinnSamSem has a full schedule this fall. Learn about ongoing research on topics ranging from women and the Cold War to Sonja Åkesson’s archive.

The fall term has begun, and KvinnSam's seminar series is starting up. During fall 2026, the seminar series will feature conversations with researchers from a variety of fields, including Library and Information Science, History, Film Studies, and more. We will also have presentations from citizen archivists, journalists, and dramaturgs. See the program here.

We will start with a seminar on the born digital archive that Ann-Sofie Mellqvist has collected and donated to KvinnSam after her her collection project on Gothenburg women in politics and end the term's seminars with a conversation with Åsa Beckman about Sonja Åkesson's archive. In between, we have presentations about women filmmakers, women the Cold War, and gender representations in the media.

Everyone can attend KvinnSamSem. Students, researchers, and the general public are welcome, alongside KvinnSam's and the university library's personel. We make women's and gender research together!
