QUEER - new theme in The History of Nordic Women's Literature

Published

There is a new theme available in the digital resource The History of Nordic Women's Literature. The new theme is QUEER.

Seven new articles describe both new and older literature that, individually and in interaction, challenge prevailing norms and conceptions of gender, body and sexuality. The texts focus on literary representations of how gender, body and sexuality are embedded in the way the nuclear family, reproduction and the relationship between man and nature are organised within a Nordic liberal welfare context, and on possible other and more sustainable ways of thinking about reproductive communities.

In The History of Nordic Women's Literature you can immerse yourself in more than a thousand years of women's literary history from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland and Åland, in texts by Nordic literary historians.
