Exhibition: What does a movement leave behind? Gothenburgs 1968 and the archives

Published

During November and December, an exhibition will highlight various materials that an archive of the 1968 movement might contain, including cassette tapes, photos, minutes, banners, buttons and more.

The exhibition is a collaboration between the Department of Historical Studies at the University of Gothenburg, KvinnSam, and Regionarkivet in Gothenburg. KvinnSam and Regionarkivet together hold important archives relating to the 1968 movement in Gothenburg.

The exhibition is part of the research project "Gothenburg’s 1968: Stories from a Working-class City in Movement" – an oral history project involving the systematic collection of interviews that will provide new knowledge about activism and collective mobilisation during the 1960s and 1970s.
